วันนี้เข้าไปดูสถิติ blog ที่ Performancing แต่ปรากฏว่ากลายเป็นหน้าโพสต์ของ Nick Wilson หนึ่งในผู้ร่วมก่อตั้ง Performancing ไปซะงั้น

quote ใจความสำคัญมาให้ดู:

Our free blog statistics package, Metrics will be given back to the community with our thanks — we can no longer run it, which means the service will end, but we hope that the developer community will make good use of the code and that we can continue to help the project by hosting it and providing support where we can.

สรุปสั้นๆ เค้าจะ open source ระบบเก็บสถิติ blog หรือ “Metrics” และจะหยุดให้บริการ Performancing Metrics แล้ว

ได้แต่หวังว่า Metrics จะกลับมาอีก ถ้ามีคนใจดี adopt มัน (คงมีแหละ… ของเค้าดี) ระหว่างนี้ คุณ Nick แนะนำให้ไปใช้บริการเก็บสถิติ blog จาก FeedBurner แทนไปพลางๆ

สมัครสมาชิกเสร็จ เห็นมันมีบริการ Feed Stats ด้วย อยากลองเล่นดู แต่จะให้คนอ่านเปลี่ยนมา subscribe ของ FeedBurner แทนก็ใช่ที่ (เป็นผมก็ไม่เปลี่ยนหรอก ของเดิมก็ยังอ่านได้นี่หว่า) สุดท้ายไปเจอ Quick Start for WorkPress ค่อยยังชั่ว แค่ลง plugin ให้มัน redirect feed ไปหา FeedBurner อัตโนมัติ จบ

ส่วนบริการที่ต้องการใช้จริงๆ คือ StandardStats ที่ต้อง copy code ที่มันให้มา มาใส่ในไฟล์ template ของ theme ที่ใช้อยู่ โดยต้องแก้สองไฟล์ คือ index.php และ single.php ซึ่งผมไม่ค่อยชอบเท่าไร เพราะถ้าเปลี่ยน theme ก็ต้องมาแก้ไฟล์อีก พยายามหา plugin อยู่ แต่ยังหาไม่เจอ

ปล. จริงๆ ก็ใช้ Google Analytics กะ FireStats อยู่ด้วย แต่ไหนๆ มีโอกาสใช้ FeedBurner แล้ว ก็ลองมันให้ครบละกัน :em05:
